It’s been quite a while since my last update on my finish year. Here’s where I am in my progress and what I need to do to finish things by the end of December 31, 2012.
1. Complete 500 miles by running/walking/elliptical this year.
I’ve run 239 miles and I’ve logged 17 miles walking which brings me up to 256 miles total, or 51.2% of my total goal. To make things easy on my self I’m not really paying much attention to the walking number in my total goal since I don’t do much in the way of intentional walking. So that means I’m at 48% of my total goal of 500 miles for the year. I need to log about 15 miles every week for the rest of the year. This should be easy because I’m going to start training for a half marathon starting in September.
2. Cut body fat to under 20%.
My scale tells me this one isn’t improving much. I’ll work on this as soon as I finish the pizza and breadsticks I picked up for dinner today…
3. Complete two more 5ks, my first 10k, and my first half marathon this year.
I’ve already done my 10k. I’m going to do a half this fall (need to sign up for one soon) and I’ll do two more 5ks to pick up some easy miles. I’m going to do the same 5k at Thanksgiving that I did last year to see how things have improved in one year. That just leaves one other 5k to pick and run.
4. Read 15 books.
I’m still reading “Veneer” (but haven’t picked it up in a few weeks). I think I have four books left, maybe five. Better stop watching stuff on Netflix at night and read instead.
5. Hand-write all of Proverbs.
I completed Proverbs 28 tonight. That leaves me with three. This goal will be done by the end of the week. I need to finish something on this list soon or it’s going to be a mad dash at the end!
6. Tithe regularly
I really like that my mindset on tithing has changed from “Man, that’s a big check to write every two weeks.” to “I’m not going to be at my church this weekend. Do I tithe at the church I am going to be at or wait until next week?”
7. Become debt free.
Have I mentioned that I’M DEBT FREE!
