simplechurch

Sorry that things have been quiet around here lately. I’ve been focusing a lot of time on learning how Standard Theme works and building a child theme for churches. This theme is built with church plants in mind that don’t have the money for a custom-built website. It includes a slier for the images on the front page, as well as a plugin for events and one to list your staff. It does require Standard Theme. If you haven’t purchased Standard, you should really consider it!

Take a look at the Demo Site. You can download the theme files from this blog post.

  1. Hi Chris, I just used the Simplechurch theme on my demo blog http://demo.biblepraise.org. Is there anything I can now to make the logo and post containers static ahen viewed at high resolutions? Seems to me that I can’t reduce the space on the left

    • Hey Steve! I don’t see the theme in use on your site. It should be working just like the demo site is. Please use the 8BIT forum for support. I’d love to help everyone using the theme, but I just don’t have time to do that for free. Thanks for understanding!

      • Hi Chris, thanks for your response and indeed I understand. I changed the theme to Blank Canvas as it seems that I am able to customise that better. Thanks and God bless!

  2. I have a question about how you created the staff page. I like it but not sure if there was something that came with the theme or if I need to create that.

    • Bill,

This is part of the Church Pack plugin. Once you have the plugin enabled, you’ll see “Church Pack” listed in the sidebar. Click on that, then enable the “People” page.

Also, it’s strange to me that we’ve worked together on ProPresenter stuff, and now you’re using something I’ve created on my personal time. Small world.
